(2) Selection of BaseProduct
The D8 Disk Array Unit requires the program product"BaseProduct" per Disk Array Unit separately
in addition to H/W products. It includes storage control software and NEC Storage Manager,
comprehensively monitoring and managing the Disk Array Unit of D Series.
BaseProduct with necessary grade according to the number of node of D8 Disk Array Unit, number of
connected server/connection FC controller (number of HBA port) is required.
Besides, in case you "adding nodes" or "adding Host Director," and even if you do not add these
options, in case you add the number of connected server/connection FC controller (number of HBA port),
check the grade of the existing BaseProduct and purchase an upgrade product if necessary.

- As for the D Series, AccessControl is not an optional product but it is included in the BaseProduct.

-As for the D Series, the number of connections is defined as the number of server and the number of
HBA connections.
(cf. For the S Series, the number of connections was defined as only the number of HBA ports.)
"Lite" includes AccessControl for 2 or less servers (4 or less HBA ports).
"Standard" includes AccessControl for 8 or less servers (16 or less HBA ports).
"Enterprise" includes AccessControl for 9 or more servers.
e.g.
"<=2 servers (<=4 HBA port connections)"license means the following.
- 1 server with 4 paths: Allowed.
- 2 servers with 2 paths each: Allowed.
- 3 servers with 1 path each: NOT allowed. (It exceeds "2 servers".)
- 2 servers with 3 paths each: NOT allowed. (It exceeds "4 HBA port connections".)
