NORMAL PLAY
1. Press(PLAY/PAUSE)
.Play will begin
with
track number 1,
NOTE:
To start play from the desired track, select
the track by using (SKIP/SEARCH)
-l
or
144
then
press (PLAY/PAUSE).
2. Adjust (VOLUME), and (BASSXPANDER)
as
desired.
3. Press (STOP/CLEAR)
to stop play
at any
time. When the last track has
Dlayed, the CD
player
will automatically
stop.

Temporarily
stopping
play (PAUSE)
1. Press (PLAY/PAUSE)
during play. Play will
temporarily stop, and CD PLAY indicator will
flash,
2. Press (PLAY/PAUSE)
again to resume play.
CD PLAY indicator will remain on.
Track search
(forward/reverse)
1. In the play mode,
press
and hold down
(SKIP/SEARCH)
1-
or -l
to lower
the
volume level and quickly advance or return
to any parl of the disc.
2. Release (SKIP/SEARCH)
I*
or-l
to return
the volume
to normal
level
and
resume
play.
NOTE:
If (SKIP/SEARCH)
I*
or
-1
is
pressed
during the PAUSE mode, no sound will be
heard, and the PAUSE mode will continue
when the button is released.
Track skip
1. Press and release (SKIP/SEARCH)
ml
or
i-
repeatedly
during play to quickly locate
the beginning of a track.
2. The CD track number display will show the
number
of the selected
track.
Play will
continue from the beginning of the new track.
NOTE:
If (SKIP/SEARCH)
I*
is -1
pressed while
the unit is in the PAUSE mode, the unit will
remain in the PAUSE mode when the button
is released,
Repeat
play
This function allows all the tracks on a disc or
the programmed
tracks
only to be played
repeatedly.
1. Press (REPEAT).
The REPEAT indicator
will flash, to repeat
the current track continuously.
2. Press (REPEAT)
again.
The REPEAT
indicator
will remain
on, to
repeat the entire disc.
To cancel
the repeat
play
function,
press
(REPEAT)
again.
The REPEAT
indicator
will
go off.
PROGRAMMED
PLAY
With programmed
play, up to 16 tracks on a
disc can be memorized
and played
in any
order. (The TRACK
NO. display will show the
track number
1-99).
In this example,
track 1-8 on a 10-track
disc
are entered
into the unit's program
memory,
for play in the order shown in Fig. 6.
Example Program
1, Prese the STOP/CLEAR button.
2, Press the PROGRAM button.
The PROGRAM indicator will flash and display
will flash" Pr".
3, Press the SKIP/SEARCH *I
button repeatedly
until the TRACK
NO. display
show " 5 ".
4. Press the PROGRAM button. The display will
flash" Pr".
5. Press the SKIPLSEARCH 1-
button repeatedly
until the TRACK
NO. display shows " 3 ".
6. Press the PROGRAM button. The display will
flash" Pr".
7. Repeat steps 2-6 to memorize
track 1, 8,
2,7,6,1
and 4.
NOTE:
A track number can be entered more than
once.
8. ChecMrrg the program
After the last track number has been entered,
press the PROGRAM
button to view the
memorized track numbers, in the order they
were entered and last display will show "Pr".
9. Press the PU4Y/PAUSE button.
Programmed
play will begin with the first
programmed track.
10. When
the
last
programmed
track
has
finished
playing,
the CD player will stop,
unless the REPEAT button has been pressed
(see Repeat play).
NOTE:
If you want to add to program number, select
the track number, and press the PROGRAM
button.
It is not
possible
to
change
a
programmed
entry,
or to add
an entry
between the programmed selections
Ending
Programmed
Play
Press (STOP/CLEAR)
twice(during
programmed
play), or once (during the stop mode), to clear
the-program memory-
IMPORTANT NOTE
If
an abnormal
display
or an operating
problem
occurs,
disconnect
the
mains
lead
and
remove
all batteries.
Wait at least 90 seconds,
then
reconnected
the mains lead and reinstall the
batteries.
