Description of functions
Doro Care smoke detector is battery operated with a
built-in radio transmitter adapted for use with Doro Care
Carephones, Gloria+, Grace+, CareIP, CareMobile and
CareIP Mobile.
The smoke detector is easy to install and has an automatic
battery monitoring which will send a low battery message to the
Doro Care Carephone when it's time to replace the battery.
Activation of alarm
In case of smoke the warning signal from the smoke
detector is activated to alert the residents of the danger.
At the same time the built-in radio transmitter activates an
alarm in the Doro Care Carephone to summon help.
Pause function
To avoid any unwanted alarm ex. caused by cooking fumes,
the smoke detector's sensitivity can temporarily be reduced
by a simple push of the combined test / pause button.
The detector returns to normal sensitivity after about 10
minutes.

Location
The detector should be mounted in the ceiling outside the
bedroom or in stairwells. Make sure the smoke alarm sounds in
the bedroom when triggered.
Avoid placement in the kitchen or near the bathroom where
cooking fumes or steam may trigger the alarm.

Assembly / Installation
1.
Loosen the mounting plate on the back of the fire detector by
turning it counter-clockwise.
2.
Insert the battery and attach the battery connector.
3.
Activate the radio learning mode in the Carephone / System.
4.
Press and hold in the test / pause button for about 4 seconds
to activate the built-in radio transmitter.
5.
Confirm programming at the receiver unit.
6.
Configure the desired alarm type on the receiver.
7.
Perform a test of the entire alarm chain by holding the test /
pause button for about 4 seconds and wait for the operator
to answer the alarm. Note! Notify the alarm receiving center
manager before starting the test.
8.
Screw the mounting plate to the ceiling and attach the smoke
detector to the mounting plate with a clockwise rotation.
Cleaning
The detector should be vacuumed regularly and always in
association with battery replacement. Exterior cleaning
shall be made with a damp cloth. Solvents shall not be
used.
Battery warning
Around one month before the battery is depleted the
detector starts to emit short beeps with about 30 sec.
intervals and transmits an automatic low battery message
to the Carephone. Then it's time to change the battery.
Always test the smoke detector after battery replacement.
