Master Volume
This control sets the output volume
of the QM 600AS internal power
amplifier .
dB 0
Cross-Over Low Cut Switch
The male XLR outputs can be full
range through from the F/male
XLR inputs or a line level cross-over
output depending on the setting of
the Cross-Over Out Low Cut switch .
Selecting 80 or 125 Hz will remove the
low bass frequencies from the line level
output . These settings are intended for removing
low frequencies from small powered speakers
with limited power output . The choice of setting
will depend on the power capacity and size of the
powered satellite speaker .
If the powered speaker is clipping or appearing to
distort at higher levels, try switching the 80Hz filter
to 125 Hz to lower the power sapping bass from
the satellite speaker woofer .
Sub HF Cross-Over Frequency
The bass crossover frequency
135
150
120
is sweep-able from 90 to 200Hz
and can be tuned by the user to
160
100
suit the individual bass sound
170
90
needed . It is recommended
180
80
Hz
that setting this control at or
below 100Hz will deliver the best low sub bass
sound for live performances . The higher settings
will deliver a 'boomy' bass desirable in some
electronic genres .
Polarity Normal and Rev Switch
The phase polarity can be switched 180° to suit
alternative loudspeaker brands as required . When
ø
connecting a group of sub bass
Phase
Normal
speakers, please ensure they all
Sub Rev
have the same polarity setting
or loss of bass response will occur .
Mid-High/Parallel Outputs L/R
The signal from L&R inputs is processed through
an integrated electronic cross-over . Low-frequency
signals are routed to the internal power amplifier of
the QM 600AS .
Balance Output
A
If the Cross-over low cut switch is set to full range,
the male XLR outputs will act as a line through
connection . If the 80-125 Hz setting is selected,
high-frequency signals above the cross-over
frequency will be available from these outputs
for further distribution to external power amps or
active mid-high range cabinets .

Status Indicators

These indicators provide information about the
Balance I p t
actual operational state of the QM600AS internal
power amplifier .
Signal
Indicates that an audio signal is present at the
input .
Protect
Clip
Clip
When lit, this indicator signals
that the internal power
Signal
amplifier is actually operated
at the borders of clipping . Short-term flashes are
indicating that maximum power has been reached .
The amplifier's audio limiter keeps severe distortion
from occurring . If you are seeing extended time
periods of red flashing or the red warning light
is staying on for more than 1/4 second, you
need more sub bass boxes . Running a sub bass
for extended periods of clipping will result in
expensive repair bills . Protection limiters are no
substitute for common sense .
