General Description

The compact QM600AS is a powered sub
bass system powered by a mono internal
amplifier and controlled from a master
input section containing a stereo electronic
cross-over . The input section controls
consist of an adjustable sub bass crossover
controlling the sub amplifier, and a line
through/switch preset cross-over output for
powered satellite boxes or extra powered sub
boxes .
Flexible Operation
The QM 600AS can be used as a multiple
subwoofer block or as a sub bass for individual
powered speakers . Alternatively, it can be used
as a single mono subwoofer supporting a small
powered system .
The bass crossover frequency is sweep-able
from 90 to 200Hz and can be tuned by the user
to achieve the desired bass sound . The line
2
through/x-over XLR outputs are intended to
supply line level signal to additional powered bass
systems or can be used as a crossover network to
feed powered speakers at two alternative high pass
cross-over frequencies .

A
Balance Input
The QM600AS features electronically balanced
inputs for the connection of line level signal
sources such as mixers, system controllers or other
powered speakers . Input connection is via 1/4"
phone or XLR-male connectors . A balanced XLR
connection is recommended to minimize noise
and\or interference .
The input section of the QM600AS also allows for
stereo and mono sub operation . The stereo signal
is fed to the L and R inputs and the low-frequency
signals of both channels are summed by the
electronic cross-over prior to being processed by
the sub power amplifier section .
For detailed connection options, see the section
"setup examples" .
CAUTION
Before connecting or disconnecting
any connections including power,
make sure to set the master level
control to counter clockwise off . This
will prevent unexpected and possibly
damaging noises from the system .
