    OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS ON-OFF POWER BUTTON VOLUME LEVEL MEMORY Press this button momentarily to turn the unit on or off. The unit will also turn on automatically when a compact disc is inserted if the ignition switch is “on”. This button is also used to set the memory for the volume level which will be recalled when the unit is turned on.
  • Page 3 SELECT BUTTON (SEL) DISPLAY CALL DISPLAY PRIORITY SELECTOR IGNITION-OFF CLOCK CALL (CLK) This button is used to select the audio function (volume, bass, treble, balance, or fade) to be adjusted using the Level Control as well as the indication (time, frequency, or CD) shown on the display panel.

    To check the time with the vehicle ignition switch in the “off” position, momentarily press the Select button. The display will illuminate and show the time and then automatically shut off after 5 seconds.   • Page 5 AM/FM BAND SELECTOR AUTO-STORE TUNING (AS) SCAN TUNING (SCAN) RADIO/CD MODE SELECTOR During radio operation, each momentary press of this button will change the radio band. The indication “AM”, “FMI”, “FMII” will appear on the display panel according to your selection. Pressing and holding the button for 0.5 seconds will activate the Scan Tuning function which will scan the stations on the band in use.

    LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY PANEL The Liquid Crystal Display (LCD) panel displays the frequency, time, and activated functions. NOTE: It is a characteristic of LCD panels that, if subjected to cold temperatures for an extended period of time, they may take longer to illuminate than under normal conditions.

TRACK SCAN (SCAN) During disc play, press and hold this button for 0.5 seconds to play the first 10 seconds of each track on the disc (the track number on the display panel will flash during Track Scan operation).

    1. Turn the radio on so that the radio frequency or clock time is shown on the display panel. 2. Press and hold the Select button 3. While the time display is still flashing, press the Manual Down Tuning button ( button ( ) to adjust the minutes to the correct time.

We recommend you keep this manual for refer- ence on the many features found in this unit as well as how to set the clock. The compact disc player section also requires no routine main- tenance, but proper understanding of its use and handling will help you obtain maximum enjoyment of its capabilities.
