If the cutterhead spins but the feed rollers do not on the King Industrial KC-13HPC planer, the issue could be a failure in the feed roller drive mechanism. This may include a broken or disengaged drive belt, gear, or chain that connects the motor or cutterhead to the feed rollers. It could also be due to a worn or damaged internal part that transfers motion to the feed rollers.

The King Industrial KC-13HPC may not start despite having full power due to the thermal overload protector. If the motor overheats, a safety mechanism automatically stops it. The planer has an overload reset button next to the On/Off switch. Pressing this button may reset the motor and allow it to start again. Additionally, ensure the planer is properly connected to a 110V-120V, 15A circuit breaker, as incorrect wiring can prevent operation.

bASIC GUIDELINES basic guidelines This 13” planer with helical cutterhead is designed to remove material from the top surface of a board in order to bring the board down to a specific desired thickness. To obtain even, uniform thickness across the length of a board, the stock being planed must have one face that has already been machined per- fectly flat (usually on a planer) and the stock should be fed with this flat face against the table.
