There a re t wo w ays t o m ove a round i n y our d istant l ocation.
1. Using y our m ouse o r p ointing d evice:
• Move y our m ouse p ointer o ver t he v ideo w indow t o d isplay t he " heads u p" d riving
control w hich l ooks l ike a h alf c ircle.
• Move y our m ouse t o t he b ottom c enter a nd h old d own y our m ouse b utton – t he
pointer w ill t urn y ellow. T he y ellow p ointer m eans t hat t he m otors a re n ow a ctive
and y ou c an m ove a round.
• While h olding d own t he m ouse b utton, s lide t he p ointer i n t he d irection y ou w ant
to g o. T he V Go w ill m ove i n t he d irection o f t he a rrow. R elease t he b utton t o s top.
• The V Go's s peed i s d etermined b y h ow f ar y ou a re f rom t he s tarting p oint a t t he
bottom c enter. C losest t o t he b ottom c enter, t he V Go g oes s lower. O ut b y t he
edge o f t he c ircle t he V Go g oes f aster – w hether y ou a re g oing s traight o r t urning.
• The d irection i s d etermined b y w here t he p ointer i s, w ithin t he h alf c ircle. I f t he
pointer i s a long t he v ertical c enter l ine, t he V Go g oes s traight. I f t he p ointer i s a long
the h orizontal l ine t he V Go w ill t urn l eft o r r ight i n i ts o wn f ootprint. I n b etween t he
two, t he V Go w ill g o f orward w hile t urning l eft o r r ight.
2. Using t he a rrow k eys o n y our P C k eyboard:
• Up a rrow – G o f orward ( VGo m oves s traight f orward)
• The V Go w ill a ccelerate u p t o i ts t op s peed a s y ou c ontinue t o h old t he k ey
down. Y ou c an c hange t he a cceleration r ate i n t he D riving S ettings
• Down a rrow – G o b ackward ( VGo m oves s traight b ackward)
• To g o h alf s peed – h old d own t he U p/Down A rrow
• To g o a t a s pecific s peed – h old d own t he U P A rrow
• You c an m ove f orward ( or b ackward) a nd t urn s imultaneously b y p ressing t he
Up/Down a rrow a nd l eft o r r ight a rrow k eys a t t he s ame t ime.
Turbo M ode
While n ot e veryone n eeds t o g o f aster, w e d o h ear f rom s ome s tudents w ho h ave t o
travel a l ong d istance b etween c lasses t hat t hey w ish t hey c ould. A ll n ew V Go's a nd
those d elivered a fter J anuary 1 , 2 015 n ow i nclude T urbo M ode. V Go's n ow c an g o
70% f aster.
When d riving w ith t he m ouse o r t ouchpad, T urbo m ode k icks i n a fter d riving t he V Go
straight f or a f ew s econds -­‐ y ou'll s ee t he d riving p ointer c hange f rom y ellow t o r ed. I f y ou
turn s harply, T urbo m ode w ill a utomatically e ngage.
