    Cellular Alarm unit utilizes the Global Positioning System (GPS) to lock on vehicles coordinates and use the GSM cellular network for controlling and monitoring the vehicle status by SMS or GPRS communication channels.

  • Page 9: Using The Proximity Card

    • GPRS or SMS from a cellphone Using the Proximity Card The Proximity Card is used to arm/disarm the i-Watcher Cellular Alarm system when the driver with the Proximity Card approaches or moves away from the vehicle. The card has an active range of about 5 meters (16 feet). The card is powered by an internal CR2025 battery.

    To disarm the alarm system, when approaching the vehicle, key-in the 4 digit code (provided with this product) and press . The LED will blink and the i-Watcher Cellular Alarm system will automatically disarm. The Wireless Code Remote has an active range of about 5 meters (16 feet).

  • Page 13 1. Close the car doors. 2. Continuously, switch the ignition key on and off five times - the last key switch is followed by series of fast beeps. Wait about 20 seconds until a sin- gle beep is heard. 3. Press once on the ARM button of the car remote key and wait 3 seconds until two fast beeps are heard.

    Emergency Neutralize Emergency Neutralize is performed to enable the i-Watcher Cellular Alarm System in case the Proximity Card or Wireless Code Remote is malfunctions or lost. Once neutralized, the system will allow one engine start. To restart the engine, repeat the Emergency Neutralize procedure.

    Garage Mode In normal operation, once the ignition switch is turned off or the system is neutralized, the system automatically moves to Arm position after a per-set time. In Garage mode, the system does not automatically move to Arm position. In this way, the system enables service personnel to repeatedly start the vehicle without the need to disarm.

    Troubleshooting Problem: Wireless code remote/Proximity Card or Original car remote key does not work. Cause: Depleted battery inside Wireless Code Remote/Proximity Card/ Original car remote key. Solution: 1. Replace battery (see installation guide). 2. Use smartphone/iPhone application or send SMS to disarm the system (See page 12).
  • Page 23 Problem: Vehicle location cannot be detected. Cause: The i-Watcher Cellular Alarm unit is not receiving signals from the GPS satellites. Solution: Move the vehicle outside this area and make sure that clear sky can be viewed. Problem: No communication with the vehicle Cause: The unit is not detecting the local cellular system.
