White balance adjustment
This adjustment
may
be
skipped
when
the white
balance
selector
switch
is
used
at
the
ATW
position (automatic
tracking
wide balance mode)
or
PRST
position (for
shooting
under a predetermined
light
source).

Set the
POWER
switch
to
ON.

Set the white
balance
selector switch
to
MEMO.
Place a sheet
of
white
paper,
handkerchief
or
something
similar
in
conditions
identical to
those
of
the
light
sources which
will
be used
to illuminate the subject,
and
zoom
in
on
the subject
so
that the
screen
is filled
with the white
paper or handkerchief.
• Something
white (such
as a piece
of
white
fabric
or white
wall)
near
the
subject
may
serve
instead,
but
it
should
be borne
in
mind
that
what you
thought
was
white
may
in
fact
be
slightly colored.
