About lenses with a supersonic motor

The lenses in the table below are equipped with internal supersonic motors. When mounted on a camera
body that supports supersonic motors, the autofocus (AF) is quiet and smooth.

When the lens is mounted on a camera body that does not
DA 16-50mm f/2.8ED AL [IF] SDM

support supersonic motors (including
DA 200mm f/2.8ED [IF] SDM
firmware older than version 1.30), the autofocus is operated
