    Introduction: Ingenix is an advanced media platform capable of Lightning fas t process ing, picture in picture or split sc reen information dis play, B lue-tooth hands free calling and B lue-tooth mus ic playback, G P S navigation and much more. Many of the fea tures of Ingenix have never been available for in car use until now.

    Access to s ource unit options T he above picture dis plays the two main area s of the home menu. T he lower s ection is the slider which can acces s any option of the radio with a s imple s wipe of your finger from left to right or right to left. T o access the option it mus t be centered.

(Refer to ‘Address’ search on page 23 for [State/Prov]-[City] search.) 2. Select one of POI categories, then it will list POIs in order of distance from current position. Tap to order alphabetically, or tap to order by distance.
  • Page 30 Start Traveling Guidance To start guidance, you should tap the start button on the [Route Summary] page. The above screen image is the captured image when traveling guidance has begun. (Refer to <Map screen features - Traveling guidance mode> on page 18 for an explanation of map features.) Lane guidance Lane Guidance helps you safely prepare for your next maneuver by displaying the correct lane(s) to stay in.
  • Page 31 Signposts Signposts provide a realistinc representation of actual signposts at complex highway junctions. As you approach a highway junction, the signpost displays route shields, route directions, locality, exit, and lane information. The Signpost replaces the normal Next street name box at some junctions. The highlighted shield with white arrows indicates the correct lane(s) to be in.

    b) Route Options Manage your route Routing Options may be used to create a new route or to edit an existing route. Create Route / Edit Route buttons will change depending on the situation. Create Route / Edit Route [Create Route] is available if a route has not been set. [Edit Route] is available if a route has already been set.

    Create Route This function is available if no route has been set. Add a Location to your route Press the ADD button to add a location to your route. For short routes, you may add up to 20 Via Points. The number of Via Points may be less for longer routes.

Additional locations added become either Departure points, Via Points or Destination points depending on their respective position within the route list.
