CHAPTER 6 : P LAYSTATION N ETWORK
Signing into PlayStation Network (PSN) creates a Sony Entertainment Network account that will
contain personal information used for purchasing additional content on the PlayStation Store,
and create a personification that will be used online when interacting with other players or
communicating with friends. Users are not required to sign into PSN, but they will not be able to
access online software.
If you do not have a Sony Entertainment Network account, select [New to PSN? Create an
Account] and press X to continue. If you already have an existing account, continue on page 22.
CREATING A N A CCOUNT
Creating a PSN account is intuitive and easy. All you require is a current email address, a
username you feel comfortable sharing online, and a password.
TO C REATE A N A CCOUNT
1. Select [Sign-In ID (Email Address)] and press X to continue.
2. Using the onscreen keyboard, enter your email address.
3. Select [Username] and press X to continue.
4. Using the onscreen keyboard, create a username that will be displayed when
interacting with other online.
5. Select [Password] and press X to continue.
6. Using the onscreen keyboard, create a password that you will remember.
7. Select [Confirm Password] and press X to continue.
8. Using the onscreen keyboard, enter the same password as before.
9. Select [Create My Account] and press X to continue.
Sony Entertainment Network Account creation is complete. You now have access to PlayStation
Network.
