UNPACKING

„ This product requires no assembly.
„ Carefully remove the product and any accessories
from the box. Make sure that all items listed in the
packing list are included.
„ Inspect the product carefully to make sure no
breakage or damage occurred during shipping.
„ Do not discard the packing material until you have
carefully inspected and satisfactorily operated the
product.

BATTERY REMOVAL

1. Press in and hold the latch button (1) with a firm grip.
2. Grasp the handle firmly. Pull the battery pack out of
the handle.
NOTE: The battery pack fits snugly into the handle to
prevent accidental dislodging. It may require a strong
pull to remove.

BATTERY INSTALLATION

1. Align the tongue (2) of the battery pack with the
cavity in the handle housing.
2. Grasp the handle (3) firmly.
3. Push the battery pack into the handle until both
sides lock. The latch button will click when locked
into place.
4. Do not use force when inserting the battery pack. It
should slide into place and click.

CAUTION! When placing battery pack
!
in your hedge trimmer, be sure raised
rib on battery pack aligns with groove
in hedge trimmer and latch snaps in
place properly. Improper assembly
of battery pack can cause damage to
internal components.
IMPORTANT! The battery is
!
not shipped fully charged. It is
recommended that the battery be
fully charged before initial use. With
regular use, the battery pack will
take 1 hour or less to charge fully.
It is recommended that the battery
be charged every 3 months when
the hedge trimmer is not in use. The
battery's run time will improve after
the third or fourth charge.
IMPORTANT! DO NOT remove the
!
blade assembly. If the blade needs
sharpening, straightening, or
replacing, take it to an authorized
repair center.
WARNING! To avoid personal injury:
!
„ Handle the blade with care.
„ Do not place your fingers or hand
near or between the notches in the
blade or in any position where they
could get pinched or cut.
„ Never service the blade or hedge
trimmer unless the battery pack is
removed.
„ Always keep both hands on the hedge
trimmer handles to prevent your hand
from touching the blade.
