Powder Injection An important aspect of the plasma spray operation is obtaining maximum heat transfer efficiency from the plasma to the powder particles. There is a pronounced temperature gradient along the length and across the width of the plasma, so powder particles should be entrained in the core of the plasma, not in the cooler outer regions.
