    9023736 P/N: To ensure that the LH 700 Series Workstation has the highest reliability, it should be placed in an area with good ventilation, low humidity, out of direct sunlight and away from heat sources. The rear cooling fan opening must allow for an unobstructed flow of air to ensure that the system does not overheat.

    Video cards. Some of these processors are built on to the motherboard, although they are still separate resources from the main CPU and system memory. The LH 700 Series Workstation, at release, with the Intel D815EEA motherboard, used this type of onboard video display. The system board has 4 MB of onboard memory enhanced by 4 MB of added memory using a special AGP port.

The rear of the card has one connector that is used to connect a SCSI cable for the external archive device. The drive used on the LH 700 Series Workstation is used to install the LH 700 Series Workstation Operating System and software. It is also used to access the LH 700 Series Workstation Assistant, Tutorials, Service and Manufacturing procedures, and with the newer systems can be used as an archive device.

    Audio. There are two audio out connectors that can be used to connect to the sound card.     P/N: 13. IOMEGA® JAZ® DRIVE The LH 700 Series Workstation has an option built into it that is used to capture, store, and restore the complete Workstation database and configuration. A high capacity external storage device can be used for this archival process. The SCSI card that comes as part of the Workstation computer base provides a convenient interface to such devices.

    The main changes are in the GUI, multimedia capabilities, and network operation and administration. The change that will be noticed the most by users of an LH 700 Series Workstation is the change in philosophy of the Control Panel. All configuration items were located in the Control Panel in Windows NT 4.0.

    The Regional Settings program is used to set local format configurations for time, date currency, and numerical conventions and punctuation.     Printers, for details on using this program. 15.1.3. Printers The LH 700 Series Instrument does not specify a printer that must be used by the system. Any printer that that has a Windows 2000 driver, whether supplied by Microsoft in the Windows 2000 package, or supplied by the printer manufacturer, can be connected and used.
