6.6 Troubleshooting

In the case of abnormal noise, odor, smoke, heat generation from this instrument, turn it off at once. And if you
think the instrument is erroneous, check the followings before you ask for repair.
Condition
The display is not lit.
When the auxiliary power
supply is impressed, display
is not lit soon.
The back light is not lit.
The display becomes black.
"End" display remains.
Measured value error is
large.
Voltage is displayed FULL.
[FULL] is displayed on
voltage display.
Measured values of W, var,
cosf are including large
errors.
Measured values of cosf is
including large error.
Maximum value is not held.
Maximum value and
minimum value changed.
Index indicator and alarm value
changed.
The harmonic total RMS value of
harmonic current (HI) is largely
different from current (A) value.
Set-up cannot be made even
when SET is pressed.

expected cause
Auxiliary power supply is not
impressed on MA and MB terminals.
This is not an error. For about 5 seconds
after auxiliary power source is charged,
initialization of internal circuit is carried out.
The back light is set to auto off.
It may become black owing to static electricity.
set-up is on its way.
Settings of primary voltage and
primary current are erroneous.
There is inconsistency between
wiring and set value (direct voltage
setting, or secondary voltage setting).
Wiring is erroneous.
If the input current is smaller than
the rating, error becomes large.
(about 5% or below of rated
current)
RESET is pressed continuously.
When the set-up items of the set-up menu
1 are changed, initialization is carried out.
When the set-up items of the set-up menu
1 are changed, initialization is carried out.
Distortion ratio (containing ratio)
exceeds 100% largely. (measurement
of secondary output of inverter
When SET is pressed for 2 seconds,
the set value confirmation mode gets
in, and some items cannot be changed.

Solution
Impress auxiliary power supply.
Use it as it is.
When any of the operation key is
pressed, it is lit for 5 minutes. Use it as
it is, or change the setting to continuous
lighting in the set-up menu 2.
It goes off after a while.
Press SET .
Check the set value in the set
value confirmation mode.
Check the wiring and set value.
Check the wire.
This is not an error, or use it as it
is, or if error is troublesome,
change the CT to one to meet the
actual use current.
release RESET .
Record before changing set-up.
Set once again.
Check measured environment.
Press SET and RESET
simultaneously for 2 seconds to
get into the set-up menu.
