The MAGINON® WK 1 uses IR LEDs with a long wavelength in order to keep the
proportion of red light as low as possible. The existing number of IR LEDs provides a
high light beam angle and thus allows night photos/video recordings to be taken at a
distance of between approx. 3 m to 20 m without overexposing the object. Refl ecting
objects can however also cause overexposure within this range (e.g. road signs).
Please note that night photos/video recordings are in black & white due to the IR
LEDs.
Note:
The MAGINON® WK 1 corresponds to the IP protection class 54. The camera is dust and
splash water resistant, and thus can be used regardless of the weather.

6.7. Live mode set-up

The standard application of the MAGINON® WK 1 is the so-called Live Mode. In this
mode, photos/video recordings are only triggered by the motion sensors.
To select the Live mode switch Mode switch to ON position. The red motion sensor
light will fl ash for approx. 10 seconds and the camera then starts without any
manual assistance and enters the Standby mode. It records photos or videos as
soon as any wildlife or other objects enter the immediate detection range of the
central sensor zone.
Where wildlife enters the detection range of the side sensor zone from the side, the
movement is detected and the camera is activated. Whilst the wildlife continues
to move into the detection range of the central sensor zone, the camera continues
taking photos/video recordings. Once the wildlife moves out of the detection area
of the side sensor zones, the camera is switched off and moves into the Standby
mode.
