VI. Assembly Unpacking This product requires assembly. Carefully remove the product from the box. Inspect the product carefully to make sure no breakage or damage has occurred during shipping. Do not discard the packing material until you have carefully inspected and satisfactorily operated the product. - Page 12 2. Connect the other end of the strap with the ‘quick-release’ to the handle as per Figure 16 below : Fig 16 3. Adjust the length of the shoulder strap to ensure the machine is well balanced and as comfortable as possible. Use the strap to take the weight of the trimmer, especially when the telescopic poles are fully extended.
- Page 13 Using the hand knob supplied to tighten the extension pole by turning the knob clockwise. Make sure the knob has been tightened completely. See Figure 2 below. Fig 2 3. Release the extension pole knob by turning it anti-clockwise. Place one hand on one pole section and the other hand on the other section.

Connect the motor’s pole connection collar into the extension pole connection collar until you hear of the locking sound “click”. Check both parts are locked together by trying to pull them apart. See Figure 3 below. (Note: The motor head locking hole should be on the same side with the extension pole lock catch). -

WARNING: Always wear CE approved safety goggles or safety glasses with side shields when operating power tools. Failure to do so could result in objects being thrown into your eyes, resulting in possible serious injury. Wear head protection when using the trimmer. WARNING: Do not use any attachments or accessories not recommended by the manufacturer of this product. -

Adjusting the Pivoting Head See Figure 12 below. Fig 12 1. Disconnect the plug from the power supply. 2. Place the hedge trimmer on a flat surface. 3. Depress both pivot buttons and adjust trimmer angle adjustment head until it snaps securely into place at one of their available positions indicated. -

WARNING: Clear the area to be cut before each use. Remove all objects such as cords, lights, wire, or loose string which can become entangled in the cutting blade and create a risk of serious personal injury. When operating the hedge trimmer, keep the mains lead behind the trimmer. Never drape it over the hedge being cut. -
