5. CONTROLS
The hood is fitted with a control panel with
aspiration speed selection control
and a light switch to control cooking area
lights. Use the high suction speed in cases
of concentrated kitchen vapours. It is
recommended that the cooker hood suction
is switched on for 5 minutes
prior to cooking and to leave in operation
during cooking and for another 15
minutes approximately after terminating
cooking.

The lighting of the corresponding symbol
indicates the type of extraction mode being
used:
by suction
by filtration
- The transition from one mode to
another must occur only with the motor
running.
- During the transition from one mode
to another, the motor will automatically
shut off, and then resume operation in
the previously set speed.

The hood is designed to be used in
combination with a Window sensor KIT
(not provided by the manufacturer);
installing the Windows sensor KIT, the hood
working in suction mode will automatically
switch to filtering every time when the kit
which with the hood is equipped detects
that the window is closed in the room where
the hood is installed.
When the window is detected as open
again, the hood will switch back to suction
mode.
It is recommended to purchase the KIT
FDS 100 - Elektrotechnik Schabus,
available at the authorized centers
Elektrotechnik Schabus or directly on the
website www.elektrotechnik-schabus.de
- The electrical connection of the kit
to the hood must be performed by
specialized technical personnel.
- The hood manufacturer declines all
responsibility for any inconvenience,
damage, fire caused by defects and/
or malfunctioning and/or incorrect
installation of the KIT.
- Special functions:
Timed intensive function
Selecting the fourth speed, this remains
timed for 5 minutes, then the motor will
return to the second speed.
- Metal grease filters indicator reset
Every 40 hours of use, the system will
notify you, by flashing symbol 5 (motor
off), the need to clean the metal grease
filters.
To clear the warning message, after
cleaning the metal grease filters, press
and hold button 5 (motor off) for more
than 5 seconds; a beep will indicate the
reset has occurred.
- Carbon filters indicator reset
Every 160 hours of use, the system will
notify you, by flashing symbol 6 (motor
off), the need to replace carbon filters.
To clear the warning message, after
replacing the carbon filters, press and
hold button 6 (motor off) for more than 5
seconds; a beep will indicate the reset
has occurred.
