If your TV is not turning on, follow these steps:
If your remote control is not working, first check if the power indicator on the TV blinks when you press the remote's On button. If it doesn't blink, replace the remote control's batteries. Ensure the batteries are installed with their poles (+/-) in the correct direction. You can also try pointing the remote directly at the TV from 5 ft. to 6 ft. (1.5~1.8 m) away.
To connect your TV to a network wirelessly, use a standard router or modem.
If your TV displays "Weak or No Signal" or cannot find channels, try the following:
If your TV is not connecting to Wi-Fi, ensure the TV has a network connection and that the Wi-Fi password is entered correctly. Check the distance between the TV and the Modem/Router, which should not exceed 15.2 m. Reduce interference by not using or turning off wireless devices, and verify there are no obstacles between the TV and the Modem/Router, as appliances, cordless phones, stone walls, or fireplaces can decrease Wi-Fi strength. You may also need to contact your ISP and ask them to reset your network circuit to re-register the MAC addresses of your new Modem/Router and the TV.
To keep your TV in optimum condition, you can upgrade to the latest software using the Update now or Auto update functions. Navigate to Settings > Support > Software Update > Update now or Auto Update in the TV's menu.
To change the input source, press the SOURCE button on your standard remote control. This will display and allow you to select available video sources.
You can perform a factory reset on your TV through the Remote Support service with a Samsung Technician.
The initial setup dialogue box appears when the TV is first activated. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the process. You can also manually perform this process later by navigating to Settings > System > Start Setup menu. If you connect any device to HDMI1 before starting the installation, the Channel Source will be changed to Set-top box automatically; if you don't want to select Set-top box, select Aerial.
If the picture on your TV is too dark, it might be due to the Eco Sensor. This feature automatically adjusts the brightness of the TV based on the light in your room to reduce power consumption. If you are watching TV in a dark environment, the screen may appear too dark. Also, ensure that no object is blocking the sensor, as this can decrease picture brightness.
To clean the screen of your TV, first turn off the TV. Then, gently wipe away smudges and fingerprints using a micro-fiber cloth. For stubborn smudges, you can spray a small amount of screen cleaner on the cloth. When cleaning the exterior and screen, wipe carefully using a soft cloth to prevent scratches. Do not spray water or any liquid directly onto the TV, and do not use flammable liquids (benzene, thinners, etc.) or a cleaning agent.
You can turn on the TV using the TV controller button at the bottom of the TV.
To improve your Wi-Fi connection, ensure the TV is connected to the network and the Wi-Fi password is correct. Check the distance between the TV and the Modem/Router, keeping it within 15.2 meters. Reduce interference by not using or turning off other wireless devices, and ensure there are no obstacles like appliances, cordless phones, stone walls, or fireplaces between the TV and the Modem/Router. If issues persist, contact your ISP to reset your network circuit to re-register the MAC addresses of your Modem/Router and the TV.
You can reset the Smart Hub by navigating to Settings > Support > Self Diagnosis > Reset Smart Hub.
When mounting your TV on a wall, follow the manufacturer's instructions precisely. Ensure the product is correctly mounted to prevent it from sliding or falling, which could cause serious injury or damage. For models that include wall mount adapters, install them as shown in the figures before installing the wall mount kit. Refer to the installation manual included with the Samsung wall mount kit.
When installing, maintain a distance of at least 10 cm between the TV and other objects (walls, cabinet sides, etc.) to ensure proper ventilation. Use only parts provided by Samsung Electronics when installing with a stand or wall mount. Do not install the wall mount kit while your TV is turned on, as this may result in electric shock. Do not use screws longer than the standard length or that do not comply with VESA standard screw specifications, as this can damage the TV. Do not fasten screws too firmly. Do not mount the TV at more than a 15-degree tilt. Always have two people mount the TV onto a wall.
To reduce the risk of image burn-in on the LED screen and affecting image quality, avoid displaying still images for long periods, such as jpeg picture files, TV channel logos, stock or news crawls, or programmes in panorama or 4:3 format. Always try to display any image in full screen and use the picture format menu for the best possible match. You should also reduce brightness and contrast to avoid after-images and use all TV features designed to reduce image retention and screen burn.
Yes, you can record content you are currently watching by pressing the REC button on your standard remote control.
