A standard BMW service con-
sists of the following mainten-

ance work:
Check the battery charge state.
Perform vehicle test with the
BMW Motorrad diagnosis sys-
tem.
Visually inspect the brake
pipes, brake hoses and
z
connections.
Check the front and rear brake-
fluid levels.
Check the front and rear brake
pads and brake discs for wear.
Lubricate the bearer of
Bowden cable for parking brake
and check the basic setting
and braking effect of parking
brake.
Check the steering-head bear-
ing.
Check the coolant level.
Check the play of the throttle
cable.
Check chain tension and check
the security of the threaded
fasteners of the swinging-arm
housing cover.
Check the tyre pressures and
tread depth.
Check the lights and signalling
equipment.
Check that the engine start
suppression system is in work-
ing order.
Perform final inspection and
check of roadworthiness.
Set the service-due date and
service countdown distance.
Confirm BMW service in the
on-board documentation.
