AUXILIARY IN
Your player can be used as a power amplifier to playback the programs from a
portable radio, TV set , MP3 player or whatever provided this appliance is so
designed that an audio signal may be produced through a LINE-OUT jack or the
like.
Observe the following steps to connect the player to another appliance:
1. Power the player on using the supplied AC Power Cord.
2. Slide the Function Switch to the Aux/CD position.
3. Connect the appliance into the player's AUX in socket with the supplied LINE
OUT cable of the appliance.
4. Power on the appliance and begin play.
Easy job, right? At this time you will be able to hear the sound produced from
the programs the connected appliance is broadcasting.
COMPACT DISC OPERATION
HANDLING A DISC
Although built to withstand a certain amount of dust etc. discs should be treated
with care normally according to conventional analog discs (records). Always
protect a disc against scratches, soil, dust etc. We recommend that during non-
use periods the discs should be stored in the original case.
Bear in mind the following points, any dirt, scratches or warping of the disc can
cause broken or intermittent sound and also noise.
When holding the discs, take care not to touch the playing surface.

Store the discs in their cases. Return them
to their cases with the label surface facing
up and push down lightly on the label
surface.

Do not place discs in the following
locations:
Near a heating device or a place where
the temperature is high or in dusty areas.
=
Do not write on the label surface using a
ballpoint pen and do not stick labels on
the CD.
=
Wipe away any fingerprints or dust on the
playing surface of a disc using a soft cloth.
Bear in mind the following points:

Always wipe from the inside toward the outside of the disc.

Never in a circular motion.
=
Do not use conventional record cleaners, anti-static agents, benzene,
thinner or other solvents.

LOADING A COMPACT DISC

Press the OPEN/CLOSE area to open the CD door.
Insert a disc with the label side facing upward.
Ž
Close the CD door by hand.
NOTE:
Never touch the laser lens inside the CD compartment. If it ever gets
dirty, clean it with a CD cleaner disc.
REMOVING A DISC

Make sure the CD is not playing. If it is, press the CD STOP button.
Press the OPEN/CLOSE area to open the CD door.

Gently remove the disc.
Close the CD door by hand.
Replace the disc in its protective storage box.
NORMAL PLAY
Œ
Slide the FUNCTION switch to the CD position(ensure that there is nothing
connected to the AUX IN socket), if a disc is already loaded into the CD
compartment, after approximately 5 seconds the total number of tracks will
be shown in the display.
To start playing, press the CD PLAY/PAUSE button (PLAY/PROGRAM
indicator will light). Track number 1 will be shown in the display and after a
few seconds the track will begin to play.

Adjust the VOLUME control to the desired volume level.
To pause playback, press the CD PLAY/PAUSE button, the number of the track
being played will flash. To resume play, press the CD PLAY/PAUSE button again,
the track number will stop flashing and play will continue.
To stop the disc, press the CD STOP button, the PLAY/PROGRAM indicator will
go off.

To turn off the CD, slide the FUNCTION Switch to the OFF position.
NOTES:

Never press the CD Door down during play, this may cause malfunction
or damage the disc. Always stop the CD player by using the CD STOP
button before you take the disc out of the compartment.

If you hit or move the CD during play, the music will stop for a second or
two and then start again. This is normal operation for CD players.
