played on the Control Display. Function is
available as soon as a maintenance operation
has been entered in the vehicle data.

Gear shift indicator

The concept
The system recommends the most fuel effi‐
cient gear in the current driving situation.
Depending on how the vehicle is equipped and
the country-specific version of the vehicle, the
gear shift indicator is active in the manual
mode of the automatic transmission and in the
manual transmission.
