3.7 Copying the directory

You can copy one or all of the directory items
between a handset and the base unit or between
two handsets. Items copied to the destination
unit are added to its directory (Phone directory
sharing).
L Keep the front cover page open for button
locations.
Important:
L Make sure the base unit, your handset
and the destination unit are not being
used when copying directory items.
L Once copying has started, do not place
your handset on the charger until it is
complete, otherwise, the operation will be
stopped.
L If an external call is being received during
the directory copy, the copy will be
stopped. You will need to copy the item(s)
again.
3.7.1 From a handset to the base
unit or another handset
Copying one directory item

Press {CONF/FUNCTION}.

Scroll to "Copy directory" by pressing
{v} or {e}, and press {>}.

Press {>} at "Copy 1 item".

To copy to the base unit, press {0}.
To copy to another handset, enter its
extension number using a dialing button ({1}
to {8}).
L You can also select the extension number
by pressing {v} or {e} ("0" for the base
unit, "1" to "8" for another handset).

Press {>}.

Press {v} or {e} repeatedly to display the
desired item.
L To search for the item by initial, see page
37.

Press the right soft key ({SEND}).
L When the item has been copied,
"Complete" will be displayed and a beep
will sound.
L The destination unit display will show
"DIRECTORY RECEIVING", then
"DIRECTORY RECEIVED".
L To copy another item, repeat steps 6 and
7.

Press {OFF}.
Copying all the directory items

{v} or {e}, and press {>}.

To copy to the base unit, press {0}.
To copy to another handset, enter its

L You can also select the extension number
by pressing {v} or {e} ("0" for the base
unit, "1" to "8" for another handset).

L The handset display will show the items
being copied and each item's number.
L When all items have been copied,
"Complete" will be displayed and a beep
will sound.
L The destination unit display will show
"DIRECTORY RECEIVING", then
"DIRECTORY RECEIVED".
L To copy items to another extension,
repeat steps 3 to 5.
