    The customer has to pack the defective device properly in the original box, to label it as fragile, and to attach the RMA number visibly on the box. eyevis can provide a new original box on request. The customer is liable for damages caused by the use of improper or unsuitable packaging.

    Appendix: RS232 protocol General description The eyevis LC Displays can be controlled using an ASCII-serial protocol. Each display is assigned an ID and can be addressed in the protocol using this ID. Commands can either be sent to a single ID or to all devices simultaniously (broadcast mode).

This can be achieved by using automatic ID assignment. Automatic ID assignment follows the topology of the RS232 cabling of the displays and increments the ID by one on each device.
