4. You can synchronise MP3 and WMA files
(without DRM protection) with the MP3
player in Windows Media Player or copy
them straight to the MP3 player in Explorer
or Finder. WMA files with DRM protection
will not be played.
DRM (Digital Rights Management) is
used by many music portals. With this
platform, the purchased music file
contains a licence which specifies
exactly what you are allowed to do with
the particular file. Among other things,
it is possible to specify whether and how
often you may burn the file, how often
you may transfer it to another device,
or for how long you may use the file.
