First-time use Charging the rechargeable battery • Charge the player fully before using it for the first time. • The battery must charge for two hours before it reaches its full capacity. • The device may heat up during charging; this is normal.
• The rechargeable battery may discharge completely if the device is not used for a prolonged period. Recharge it at least once every six months, even if the device is not being used, otherwise it will lose some of its capacity. Charging from the mains adapter 1.
3. Connect the mains adapter to an easily accessible wall socket. The orange indi- cator light lights up continuously and the blue indicator light flashes. 4. When the blue indicator light goes out, the rechargeable battery has been fully charged. Remove the mains adapter from the wall socket.
Connecting earphones DANGER due to loud music – risk of accidents and damage to hearing • The use of earphones at high volume or for a very long period of time can lead to permanent damage to hearing. • Do not use the MP3 player if you are actively negotiating road traffic.
Basic operation Switching the device on Slide the On/Off switch to ON. The orange indicator light lights up. The MP3 player now takes a brief moment to boot up the operating system. Playback then starts automatically. Switching the device off Slide the On/Off switch to OFF.
Setting the volume Press + or – to set the volume. • A brief press changes the volume by one step at a time. • A long press changes the volume until you release the button again, or until the highest or lowest volume level has been reached.
The fast forward or fast rewind will stop automatically at the end or beginning of the current track. You cannot move to the next or previous track using these buttons. Activating and deactivating the button lock The button lock prevents you pressing the buttons unintentionally.
Selecting playback mode Here you can choose whether you wish the stored tracks to be played back in a random or normal sequence. Slide the playback mode switch to All the tracks in the player are played back in the normal sequence. Playback start with the track you were playing when you last switched off the MP3 player.
Swapping between folders If you have saved your music files in more than one folder, you can change between the folders as follows. To change between the folders the playback switch must be on position Press the button simultaneously to skip to the next folder.
