1.1 Back Panel: The back panel of the Etec 4 Port 11g Wireless ADSL2/2+ Router contains ADSL, Ethernet Switches, Power Adaptor connection and 2.4GHz Dipole Antenna Connector and Reset button. ADSL Port for connecting to the ADSL/ADSL2/ADSL2+ Service Provider. Ports 1~4 Four 10/100Mbps Ethernet Ports for connecting to the network devices.
1.2 Front Panel: The Etec 4 Port 11g Wireless ADSL2/2+ Router’s LED indicators display information about the device’s status. Lights up when the 4 Port 11g Wireless ADSL2/2+ Router is powered on. Lights up when the Wireless system is ready.

1. Launch your web browser, and enter the Etec 4 Port 11g Wireless ADSL2/2+ Router’s IP Address: “192.168.1.1” in the address field then press the “Enter” key. 2. Enter the default Username: “Admin” and Password: “Admin”. Then press “Log In” to login.

From the Country drop-down list select the UK. If your Service Provider is not on the ISP drop-down list, select BT* and click Next. Note the “Encapsulation” type as PPPoA VC-Mux and “VPI & VCI” settings as 0/38. 2. Click “Next” to continue. *Almost all ISPs in the UK use BT network settings which are PPPoA VC-Mux, VPI 0 and VCI 38.

Click the “Refresh” button. 6. Check the “System Information”. The “DSL Status” and “DSL Speed” under “System Information” shows you the ADSL connection status and connection speed (Upstream/Downstream) in Kbps. 7. Internet is now available. 9. Once you are connected your can configure the wireless connection of your Etec 4 port 11g Wireless ADSL2/2+ Router. (Wireless settings are normally configured automatically by your wireless client, usually USB, PCI or PC Card.

1. Authentication Failed If you see under Connection Status that the status displayed is ‘Not Connected’, then it will also display a ‘Disconnect Reason’. If the disconnect reason is ‘Authentication Failed’, this is usually caused by the user entering the wrong username or password. We suggest you factory reset the device before you attempt to re-enter the username and password.

DSL Line is Disconnected If the disconnect reason is ‘DSL Line is Disconnected’ it may be due to: 1. The ADSL cable is disconnected. 2. An ADSL line problem. 3. Microfilters not fitted in all telephone sockets, or a faulty microfilter. Please check that all connections and filters are secure and try again.

3. Troubleshooting the Connection 1. Check that the ADSL light on the front of the router has turned solid. This can take up to 1 minute after switching on. (If the ADSL light continues to flash then the router is not detecting an ADSL signal and you should contact your Service Provider immediately) 2.
