13. Trouble shooting
Problem
Motor stops starting
Fails to split logs
Log pusher moves jerkily,
taking unfamiliar noise or
vobrating a lot
Oil leaks around the cylinder
ram or from other points
Legend for the symbols attached to the machine
Wear working shoes and
gloves!

possible damages before
you start working!

Possible Cause
Thermal overload protection tripped
a)
Log is improperly positioned
b)
Size of log exceeds the capacity of the
machine
c)
Wedge cutting edge is blunt
d)
Oil leaks
Lack of hydraulic oil and excessive air in
the hydraulic system
a)
Air sealed in hydraulic system while ope-
rating
b)
Bleed screw is not tightened before
moving the log splitter
c)
Oil drain bolt is not tight
d)
Hydraulic control valve assembly and/or
seal(s) worn

Read the operating
instructions carefully!
Please provide for the

Remedy
Let motor cool down, press the reset but-
ton and start again
Refer to "operation" section to perfect log
loading
Reduce log size before operating
Sharpen cutting edge
Locate leak(s) and contact your dealer
Check oil level for possible refilling. Con-
tact your dealer
Loosen bleed screw by some rotations
before operating the log splitter
Tighten bleed screw up before moving
the log splitter
Tighten the oil drain bolt
Contact your dealer
Caution! Moving parts!
