Windows XP Installation

Windows XP has a built in driver for the SMC1233A-TX card.
Follow the installation instructions on page 4 and when you
restart your PC, the card will automatically be installed with a
Generic Macronix driver.
Updating Windows XP Generic driver
to the SMC1233A-TX driver
1. Click on the Start menu and select "Control Panel"
2. Double Click the "System" icon and this will bring up a menu.
3. Click on "Device Manager" on the Hardware page.
4. Open up the "Network Adapter" section where you should see
"ADMtek AN983 10/100 PCI Adapter".
5. Double click on "ADMtek AN983 10/100 PCI Adapter" section
and this will bring up the properties menu.
6. Select the "Driver" tab at the top of the menu.
7. Click on "Update Driver" and the "Hardware Update Wizard"
will open up.
8. Highlight "Install from a list or Specic location (advanced)" and
then click next.
9. Highlight the "Don't Search. I will choose the driver to install"
and click on "Next".
10. Click on "Have Disk". Click on Browse and select the
"WIndows XP" folder on your CDRom drive. Click on "Next"
11. Click on "OK" and then the les will be copied onto your hard
drive.
12. Installation is now complete. Click on "Finish" to complete
