POTENTIAL HAZARD
If you leave the key in the ignition switch, someone could start the engine.
WHAT CAN HAPPEN
Accidental starting of the engine could seriously injure you or other bystanders.
HOW TO AVOID THE HAZARD
Remove the key from the ignition switch and pull the wire(s) off the spark plug(s) before you do any
maintenance. Also push the wire(s) aside so it does not accidentally contact the spark plug(s).
WARNING
POTENTIAL HAZARD
Bed must be raised to perform some routine
maintenance.
WHAT CAN HAPPEN
Bed can fall and injure persons that are underneath
a raised bed.
HOW TO AVOID THE HAZARD
Always use prop rod to hold bed up before
working under raised bed.
Remove any load material from the bed
before working under raised bed.

CAUTION

Heavy-Duty Operation

IMPORTANT: If the vehicle is subjected to
conditions listed below, maintenance should be
performed twice as frequently.
Desert operation
Cold climate operation (below 32 degrees F)
Trailer towing
Frequent operation on dusty roads
Construction work
After extended operation in mud, sand, water, or
similar dirty conditions, have your brakes
inspected and cleaned as soon as possible. This
will prevent any abrasive material from causing
excessive wear.
Under frequent heavy duty operating conditions,
lubricate all grease fittings and inspect the air
cleaner daily to prevent excessive wear.
