Place oil dipstick on oil fill
location, but do not install.
Make sure that dipstick is
inserted into guide 3.
Remove oil dipstick and

read off oil level.
Specified level of engine
oil
Between MIN and MAX mark-

If oil level is below MIN mark:
Top up engine oil.
If oil level is above MAX mark:
Have oil level corrected by
a specialized workshop,
preferably an authorized
BMW Motorrad retailer.
