2. Fuel tank cap
2. Remove the cap from the tank.
3. Fill the fuel tank with unleaded gasoline to within
1/4 to 1/2 inch (6 to 13 mm) from the top of the
tank. Do not fill into the filler neck.
Important: Do not fill the tank more than 1/4
inch (6 mm) from the top of the tank because
the gasoline must have room to expand.
4. Install the fuel tank cap and wipe up any spilled
gasoline.

Starting the Engine

1. Connect the wire to the spark plug (Figure 11).

2. Firmly push in the primer once with your thumb
(Figure 12).
Note: Do not push in the primer excessively to
prevent flooding the engine with fuel.
3. Air cleaner
3. Hold the blade control bar against the handle
(Figure 13) or (Figure 14).
