1. Know Your Unit

Turns the power ON and
selects Guest mode.

About the Alarm
The alarm will beep under the following conditions:
• When the power is turned on: Blip!
• When 0.0 kg is displayed and the unit is ready to take a measurement: Blip! Blip!
• When a measurement is completed: Blip, Beep!
• When an error message "Err" appears: Blip! Blip! Blip! Blip! Blip! (A rapid series of short beeps.)
• When data has been sent successfully: Blip! Blip!
• When data failed to be sent: Beep! Beep! Beep! (A series of three long beeps.)

2. Inserting and Replacing the Batteries

Open the battery cover on the back of
the unit.

Press the tab on the battery cover in the
direction of the arrow to release the cover
as illustrated.

Pull the tab of the cover upwards.

Install the batteries in correct polarity
as marked inside the battery
compartment.

Close the battery cover.
Battery Life and Replacement
When the battery low indicator (
replace all four batteries with new ones.
Items stored in memory are retained even if the
batteries are removed.
• Replace the batteries after turning off the power.
• Disposal of used batteries should be carried out
in accordance with the national regulations for
the disposal of batteries.
• Four AA alkaline batteries will last
approximately six months (when measurements
and data transfers are made four times a day).
• Because the supplied batteries are for trial use
only, they may have a shorter life.
