Installation Guide

OCX SPEAKER (SPX OR EXT)
ONBOARD SPEAKER (SPK)
ALARM INPUT 1 (IN1)

Connections on the top of the unit

Wiring

1.
Ensure on-board speaker is plugged into the 'SPK' connector
2.
Ensure jumper is plugged into the 'SPX' connector. (Note – this jumper is removed when an On-Car Extension (OCX) is
used. Please note that the G3X unit will work as a stand alone device, or with one OCX connected.
3.
Connect emergency button to the 'BUT' connector. (Note – Button has to be N/O)
4.
Connect phone line to the 'TEL' connector.
5.
For programming, connect 9V alkaline battery to battery clips. (Note - The G3X is powered from the telephone line and
works without a battery. The battery provided is intended for use only during the programming of the unit and should
be disconnected from the unit after programming has been completed.)

    Connect phone line to the ‘TEL’ connector. For programming, connect 9V alkaline battery to battery clips. (Note - The G3X is powered from the telephone line and works without a battery. The battery provided is intended for use only during the programming of the unit and should be disconnected from the unit after programming has been completed.)
  • Page 2 Programming To program the device using the keypad, follow the below instructions... Disconnect the G3X unit from the phone line and connect the 9-volt battery supplied. Press the Program button above the keypad. You will hear three tones. Enter the access code #9000000.
  • Page 3: Advanced Programming

    Advanced programming is now complete. Exit programming mode by pressing ## Operator Mode The phone enters Operator mode when the G3X unit receives an incoming call. You are also able to enter this mode by pressing the program button above the keypad.
  • Page 4: Mounting Instructions

    The shield should be connected to the building earth at one end (and one end only);The shield should not be connected to other wires inside the cable; The building earth can sometimes cause noise on the G3X during calls. In this case, the battery negative can be used instead.
