Flash shooting
• Auto-flash
(No indication)
The flash fires automatically
in tow tight or backlight conditions
To shoot a subject with backiight,
position the AF target mark over the
subject.

reduction
flash

The Iight from the flash may make the subject's eyes appear red in the
picture. The red-eye reduction flash mode significantly
reduces this
phenomenon
by emitting pre-flashes
before firing the regutar flash. This hetps
accustom the subject's eyes to the bright Iight and minimizes
the red-eye
phenomenon.

it takes about 1 second before the shutter is
released
Hold the camera firmty to avoid camera movement

• Effectiveness
may be limited if the subject is not tooking directty at
the pre-flashes,
or if the shooting range is too far Individual physical

The flash fires regardless of the avaiIable light. This mode is useful for
eliminating
shadows
on the subject's face (such as shadows
from tree
leaves), in a backlight
situation, or for correcting the color shift produced by
artificial lighting (especiatIy fluorescent
tight).
• The fiIt-in flash may not have the desired effect under excessiveIy
bright light
