Safety precautions CAUTION: TO REDUCE THE RISK OF ELECTRICAL SHOCK, DO NOT REMOVE COVER (OR BACK). NO USER-SERVICEABLE PARTS INSIDE. REFER SERVICING TO QUALIFIED OLYMPUS SERVICE PERSONNEL. Lightning flash with an arrowhead, enclosed in a triangle, alerts you to the... - Page 8 Safety precautions Lightning — If a lightning storm occurs while using a specified AC adapter, remove it from the wall outlet immediately. To avoid damage from unexpected power surges, always unplug the AC adapter from the power outlet and disconnect it from the camera when the camera is not in use.

Loading the battery Removing the battery Make sure that the power lamp is turned off. Slide the knob in the direction of the arrow With the battery held down, tilt the camera carefully so that the battery does not drop from the camera. Remove the battery Close the battery/ card compartment cover. -

Charging the battery Charging is performed with the battery loaded in the camera. The battery is not fully charged when purchased. Removing the card Push the card all the way in to unlock it, then let it return slowly. The card may eject forcefully if you take your finger off it immediately after pushing it or if you flick it with your fingers. -
