    RPV516/RPU416 Brief Introduction Brief Introduction 1. Mode User mode: Turn on the power to enter the mode. PC mode:Set and adjust radio data with PC software or programmer in this mode. 2. Parts description: (1) Antenna (2) Channel (frequency) selector knob Turn the knob to choose channel from 1 to16 (Channel 16 can be set by the dealer as scan function).

  • Page 6 RPV516/RPU416 Circuit Description 1-b) Front end RF amplifier (RPU416) The input signal of antenna is applied to an RF amplifier (Q203) after passing through a transmit/receive switch circuit and a 3-grade low pass filter. The amplified signal is filtered through a band pass filter (a 3-grade LC filter) to eliminate unwanted signal before it is applied to the first mixer.
  • Page 7 RPV516/RPU416 Circuit Description 5) Squelch Part of the AF signal from IC200 re-enters IC200, and the noise component is amplified and rectified by a filter and an amplifier to produce a DC voltage corresponding to the noise level. The DC signal is injected to the analog port of the microprocessor (IC403). IC403 compares the voltage with the preset value and determines whether to output sounds from the speaker.
