WHEN AND WHERE SHOULD THE COMPASS BE CALIBRATED

Basically there is no need to do the calibration again once the calibration was done before. The
compass of M3-DC GPS is factory-calibrated. However, the accuracy of digital compass heading can
be affected by magnetic or other environmental interference, including interference caused by
strong magnetic, RF field, high voltage electricity, etc. The compass may need to be calibrated from
time to time.
When should the compass be calibrated :-
when the M3-DC GPS goes through a place with stronger magnetic field ;
whenever you think the accuracy of digital compass heading is distorted.
Where should the compass be calibrated:-
Outdoor areas such as open-sky parking lot.
Areas free from magnetic interference caused by strong magnetic, RF field, high voltage
electricity, etc.
Avoid magnetic metallic environment or mineral deposits, such as your car's dashboard
motor, iron desk, iron partition, speaker, RF antenna, WiFi Router, mobile phone, high
voltage cable, etc.
