About The
Lithium Battery
The
lithium battery (type
CR2032)
powers
the
internal
backup
memory
and
clock.
Change
the battery
about
once
a
year.
Before
replacing the
battery,
switch
off
the
power
to
the
Sega
Saturn
unit
and
unplug
the
Power
Cord.
Wipe
the
upper
surface
of
the battery with
a dry
cloth
before
installing.
Replacing the Battery
(A)
Remove
the Battery Cover.
(B)
Remove
the
battery.
(C)
Insert
a
new
battery,
keeping
the
positive side
upwards,
and
close the Battery
Cover.
Notes
If
you
start
a
game
with
no
battery
installed or
if
the battery
power
is
too
low,
you
can
not
save
game
data.
When
you remove
the lithium
battery,
all
saved
data
is
erased.
To
keep
data
while replacing the lithium
battery,
purchase
a
Sega
Saturn
Backup
RAM
Cartridge.
You
can use an
array
of
software
on
your
Sega
Saturn:

Note:
You
cannot
