During electrical storms, do not perform any replacement and do not connect the telephone cable
to or disconnect it from the telephone outlet on the wall.
To remove the keyboard, do the following:
1. Turn off the computer, then disconnect the ac power adapter and all cables from the computer.
2. Remove the battery pack. See "Replacing the battery pack" on page 59.
3. Unlock the keyboard frame.
4. Find the keyboard multi-tool in the shipping package of the new keyboard.
