491 Echo Sounder Operations Manual
The vertical black arrow in the SET RANGE window ind-
cates the values that this window adjusts: the range of the
echo sounder picture, relative to the depth of the water.
The white number in the black box indicates the current
range setting.
3. Press the CURSOR PAD up or down to adjust the range,
or use the KEYPAD to manually enter the desired depth.
4. Press RETURN to go back to the ECHO screen.
Adjusting the range changes the AUTO and DEPTH sta-
tus tab from green to yellow, since the echo sounder is no
longer in fully automatic mode.
