The   m achine   h as   b een   m ade   t o   a ccept   c utters   h aving   1 9.05mm   ( 3/4")   d ia.   s hanks.  
The   f ollowing   p rocedure   i s   t o   b e   u sed   w hen   m ounting   c utters.  
Lay   t he   m achine   o n   i ts   s ide   w ith   f eed   h andles   u ppermost,   e nsuring   a rbor   i s   w ound   d own   t o   i ts   l owest   p oint   t o   e nable   a ccess   t o  
socket   s crews.  
Take   a ppropriate   p ilot   a nd   p lace   t hrough   h ole   i n   s hank   o f   c utter.     I nsert   s hank   o f   c utter   i nto   ¾ "   d ia.   b ore   o f   a rbor,   e nsuring  
alignment   o f   t wo   d rive   f lats   w ith   s ocket   s crews    
Tighten   b oth   s crews   u sing   h exagon   k ey   R D4088.    
ALWAYS   D ISCONNECT   M ACHINE   F ROM   P OWER   S OURCE.

Clean   m agnet.  
 
Use   e xtreme   c are;   f ile   a ny   i mperfections   f lush   t o   s urface.  
 
Confirm   p ower   s upply   a nd   o utput   f rom   c ontrol   u nit,   c heck   s upply   c able.  
See   c auses   a nd   r emedies   a bove.  
 
Replace!     O nly   a   f ew   t housandths   w ear   p ermissible.     N ew   a rbor   b ushing  
is   n eeded.  
Light   p ressure   o nly   i s   n eeded   u ntil   a   g roove   i s   c ut.     T he   g roove   t hen  
serves   a s   a   s tabilizer.  
 
Replace   o r   r e-­‐sharpen.     S harpening   s ervice   i s   a vailable.  
 
 
Improve   c entre-­‐punch   a nd/or   r eplace   w orn   p arts

Adjust   w here   n ecessary  
  R e-­‐sharpen   o r   r eplace.

Always   h ave   a   n ew   c utter   o n   h and   t o   r efer   t o   f or   c orrect   t ooth   g eometry,  
together   w ith   i nstruction   s heet.  
 
See   c auses   a nd   r emedies   ( 2).  
 
Tighten   s ideway.  
 
Retighten.  
 
Inject   o il   o f   l ight   v iscosity   i nto   t he   c oolant-­‐inducing   r ing   a nd   c heck   t hat   o il  
is   b eing   m etered   i nto   c utter   w hen   p ilot   i s   d epressed.     I f   n ot,   c heck   p ilot  
groove   a nd   a rbor   i nternally   f or   d irt   o r   a pply   o il   e xternally.     ( Even   a   s mall  
amount   o f   o il   i s   v ery   e ffective).    
 
 
Refer   t o   i nstructions   a nd   a   n ew   c utter   f or   p roper   t ooth   g eometry.  
 
Use   s ufficient   s teady   p ressure   t o   s low   t he   d rill   d own.     T his   w ill   r esult   i n  
optimum   c utting   s peed   a nd   c hip   l oad.
