5) SPEED S ELECTION

The s peed r ange f or t his g ear i s c hanged b y t he r otary c hange s witch l ocated o n t he g earbox
side.
The s peed c ontroller i s a djusted b y r otating t he b lue d isk l ocated o n t he c ontrol p anel o f t he
motor.
Before c utting h oles i n t he w ork p iece e nsure t hat y ou a re u sing t he c orrect s peed a nd g ear
for y our m aterial a nd c utter. S ite c onditions, e .g. d iameter a nd c ondition o f c utter, m aterial
condition, m aterial t hickness, e tc m ust a lso b e t aken i nto a ccount w hen d etermining t he
suitable c utting s peed. T he s peed a nd f eed r ate m ust c ontinuously b e m onitored a nd
adjusted t o e nsure o ptimum c utting c onditions p revail.
In g eneral t he f aster o utput s peeds w ould b e u sed f or s maller c utters a nd t he s lower m ore
torque g ears f or l arger c utters.
