Care and Planned Maintenance
The Home Server and more so, the data on it are very valuable to you.
We do recommend a few simple steps to ensure that it is taken care of and continues to provide many years
of trouble free service.
1. Keep the Server in a reasonably well ventilated location – keep it cool
2. Do not place any thing around or on top of the unit which may reduce air flow
3. Replace the main system fan on a regular (annual) basis (the fan is hot swap) – and data coded
4. Inspect the HDD surface from time to time, to check for dust / dirt build up
5. Keep the front and rear of the unit clean
