Remote configuration Select Menu > Settings > Data mgr. > Device mgr.. With Device manager, you can manage settings, data, and software on your device remotely.
Updating the software may also improve the device performance. Nokia Software Updater is a PC application that enables you to update your device software. To update your device software, you need a compatible PC, broadband internet access, and a compatible USB data cable to connect your device to the PC.
Tip: If you have old compatible Nokia chargers, you can use them with the Nokia 5730 by attaching the CA-44 charger adapter to the old charger. The adapter is available as a separate enhancement.
You can also back up information from your device to the memory card. Use only compatible microSD cards approved by Nokia for use with this device. Nokia uses approved industry standards for memory cards, but some brands may not be fully compatible with this device.
To access the Phone setup application later, select Menu > Help > Phone setup. To set up the device connections, select Settings wizard. To transfer data to your device from a compatible Nokia device, select Phone switch. The available options may vary.
If My Nokia is available in your country and supported by your service provider, your device invites you to join the My Nokia service after you have set the time and the date. To sign-up to My Nokia , select Accept and follow the instructions on the display.
Ovi.com. You must have a Nokia Account to use the service. Create an account on your mobile device, or visit www.ovi.com on your Using Ovi Contacts may involve the transmission of large amounts of data through your service provider's network.
You may be asked to select the access point to use when connecting to the Nokia Music Store. Select Default access point. You can play high-quality, multiplayer N-Gage games with your device. N-Gage is a mobile gaming platform available for a range of compatible Nokia mobile devices. To access N- Gage games, players, and content, select the N-Gage application in the main menu.
Select Menu > Applications > Share online. To subscribe to an online sharing service, go to the service provider's website, and check that your Nokia device is compatible with the service. Create an account as instructed on the website. You receive a user name and password needed to set up your device with the account.
To listen to a radio station on the internet, do the following: 1. Select a station from your favourites or the station directory, or search for stations by name from the Nokia Internet Radio service. To add a station manually, select Options > Add station manually.

The items are categorised under catalogues and folders provided by Nokia or independent service providers. Some items may be chargeable, but you can usually preview them free of charge.
With the help of assisted data, your device can obtain the GPS position faster. Your device is preconfigured to use the Nokia A-GPS service, if no service provider-specific A-GPS settings are available. The assistance data is retrieved from the Nokia A-GPS service server only when needed.
You must have an internet access point defined in the device to retrieve assistance data from the Nokia A-GPS service over a packet data connection. The access point for A-GPS can be defined in positioning settings. A wireless LAN (WLAN) access point cannot be used for this service.
Some maps may be available in your device or memory card. You can also use the Nokia Map Loader PC software to download maps. To install Nokia Map Loader to a compatible PC, see www.nokia.com/maps.
