MAINTENANCE
Lubrication

Jackshaft Bearing

Loosen the driven clutch retaining bolt and pull
the clutch outward to expose the bearing and
grease fitting. Inject grease into the grease
fitting in the flangette until grease purges from
inside or outside the bearing seal (may take
only two pumps). Push the clutch back onto
the shaft and replace the clutch retaining bolt.
Torque to 18 ft. lbs. (24 Nm).

Driveshaft Bearing

Inject grease into the fitting on the speedometer
drive adaptor until grease purges from inside or
outside the bearing seal (approximately two
pumps).

Throttle Cable

Lubricate the throttle cable lightly with
grease or oil. With the engine off, turn
the handlebars to the left and lubricate
liberally as shown.
