The water and ice dispenser
spill shelf shouldbe wipeddry
immediatelyto preventspotting.

soakingin undilutedvinegar.
Youcan also use a pasteof non-
precipitatingwater softener(such
as Calgonbrand)and water,or one
teaspoonof citricacid powderper
pint of hot tap water.Soakuntilthe
depositdisappearsor becomes
looseenoughto rinse away.
Usually30 minutessoakingtime is
adequate.Avoidusingwaxon the
spill shelfandtrim.
The door haqdles and trim can
be cleanedwith a cloth dampened
with a solutionof mild liquid
dishwashingdetergentand water.
Dry with a soft cloth.Don'tuse
wax on the doorhandlesand trim.
Keep the finish clean. Wipewith
a cleanclothlightlydampened
withkitchenappliancewax or mild
liquiddishwashingdetergent.Dry
and polishwith a clean,softcloth.
Do not wipethe refrigeratorwith a
soileddishwashingclothor ,wet
towel.Thesemay leavea residue
thatcan damagethe paint.Do not
use scouringpads, powdered
cleaners,bleachor cleaners
containingbleachbecausethese
productscan scratchand weaken
the paintfinish.
Protect the paint finish.

on theoutsideof the refrigerator is a

Applya coatof kitchenappliance
waxwhen the refrigeratoris new
and then at least twice a year.

Inside the fresh food and freezer
compartments shouldbe cleaned
at leastonce a year.Unplugthe
refrigeratorbeforecleaning.If this
is not practical,wringexcess
moistureout of spongeor cloth
when cleaningaroundswitches,
lightsor controls.
Use warm water and bakingsoda
solution—about a tablespoonof
bakingsoda to a quartof water.
This bothcleansand neutralizes
odors.Rinsethoroughlywith water
and wipedry.
Otherpartsof the refrigerator—
includingdoor gaskets,meat and
vegetabledrawers,ice storagebin
and all plasticparts-can be
cleanedthe sameway.Do not use
cleansingpowdersor other
abrasivecleaners.
To help preventodors,leavean
open box of bakingsodain the rear
of the refrigerator,on the top shelf.
Changethe box everythree
months.An open box of baking
soda in the freezerwill absorbstale
freezerodors.
Do not
wash ~ny plastic parts
from your refrigerator in your
automatic dishwasher.
Drain opening in freezer

and eithersweepaway or vacuum
up dust that is readilyaccessible.
For bestresults,use a brush
speciallydesignedfor this purpose.
It is availableat most appliance
parts stores.Thiseasy cleaning
