Check the Hardware Configuration The GPIB-RS232/485/422 is shipped with a 100–240 VAC wall-mount or desktop power supply. If you plan to use a different power source to power your GPIB-RS232/485/422, verify that the voltage marked on that power supply matches the input voltage marked on your GPIB-RS232/485/422.

• SRQ enabled In D Mode, the GPIB-RS232/485/422 can act only as a GPIB Talker or Listener. To change any default setting, you must install the NI GPIB-Serial Converter software. For more information about D Mode settings, refer to the NI GPIB-Serial Converter Help, available after installing the software.

To configure the hardware, complete the following steps: 1. Move the switch on the back panel to the CFG setting. 2. Power on the GPIB-RS232/485/422, using the power switch on the front of the product. The PWR LED indicator should come on immediately. The RDY LED indicator blinks green after the hardware has passed its power-on self test, indicating it is ready for configuration.
